■ Novel food history and regulation Presentations from leading risk assessors with regards to novel food dossiers and allergen risk assessment
■ Case studies Trainees will evaluate novel food dossiers and assess the quality of each submission from different stakeholder perspectives
■ Intrinsic properties of allergens, including processing, matrix, physical/chemical, digestion, bioinformatics, protein purifications and analysis
■ In vitro and in vivo methods to unravel mechanisms of (food) allergy and activation of innate and adaptive immune system
■ Allergenicity risk assessment, including current status, examples and applications (novel food dossiers) and visions
■ Prof. Bożena Cukrowska (Hospital – Institute “Memorial – Children’s Health Center Warsaw”) – “The role of intestine microbiota in allergy development”
■ Scott McClain (Syngenta) – “Modeling informatics performance for allergens; identifying significance criteria from the ground up”
■ Eva Untersmayr (Medical University of Vienna, Dept. of Pathophysiology and Allergy Research) – “The role of gastric digestion in food allergy”
■ Prof. Irene Heijink (University Medical Center Groningen) – “The effect of house dust mite allergen on airway epithelial barrier function”
A small fee is requested to join the conference. The fee includes entrance to the oral and poster session, coffee/thee, lunches, welcome diner and conference diner.

Abstracts for oral and poster presentations can be submitted via an online application form. Format: background, method, results, conclusion, max 2000 characters (including spaces).
20 abstracts will be selected for oral presentations. Young scientist can participate in the poster contest. If you like to participate please specify this in the abstract application form. Poster board size: 100 cm length x 80 cm width.
