This page informs you what COST Action 1402 ImpARAS does with personal data, how personal data is protected and how you can exercise the rights you have under privacy legislation.
As the Grant Holder, TNO may process (on behalf of the COST Association) the personal data required for carrying out the COST Action.

What are personal data?
Personal data means any information that is traceable to you as a person. Your name, your home address or email address are examples of personal data.

Why does COST Action 1402 ImpARAS use your personal data?
We (TNO) use your personal data to contact you for the organization of the working groups, meetings and training schools, and for the opportunity to apply for grants (STSMs and ITC). Also, whenever you wish to receive information from TNO, we need your details so that we can send the information.

How long does TNO keep your personal data?
TNO does not keep your personal data any longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it is being held.

How does TNO secure your personal data?
TNO attaches great importance to ensuring that personal data provided by you are handled and kept secure with the greatest possible care. In order to optimally protect your personal data against loss, theft, unauthorised access or misuse, TNO takes the correct technical and organisational measures to keep your personal data secure, which includes the use of the latest security technology. In terms of organisation, TNO has arranged for the data of ImpARAS to be accessible exclusively by employees of TNO involved in ImpARAS.

Does TNO give personal data to other organisations?
TNO adheres to the principle that it does not share your personal data with others. The data will not be sold. However, there are exceptions whereby TNO is required to give personal data to others. These are always exceptional circumstances, such as legal proceedings or crime prevention.

In case of participating local organizers within the COST Action 1402, disclosure of personal data shall be limited to the minimum required for the local organizers to support proper organization of the event. The same data protection obligations as set out for TNO in COST Action 1402 shall be imposed on the local organizer.
